My Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB dongle model E arrived so I plugged it in, and started the installation process under Integrations. I have two devices I expect it to recognise.
Under Configuration, I had to pick
•the USB port,
•the Dongle name and
•a TCP port.
Picking the USB port was easy, the empty one had no interesting name, and the other one did. Picking the dongle was harder as the only Sonoff in the list was the ‘P’ version — which I chose, hoping for a useful error message maybe — and the number 12,000 appeared for the port.
Then (ie the first time) the Service Status had only GLADYS as green and Running, the other two (MQTT and ZIGBEE2MQTT) were red and Not.
Then I found another Sonoff under lTeal Sonoff …’E’. This time all three Services were Running green, but then I noticed 2 red Xs meaning, I presume, no Comms between them.
But the notes said your Pi may be slow (it’s a 3) so I waited an hour and took the screenshot below. Now a few more hours later, and there are still 2 red Xs. And choosing Save again, the words Restarting appear, pale blue circles appear, and after a few seconds the 3 green Running buttons appear, and 2 red Xs return.
I wonder if Ive created extra containers I dont need? Is my ZBdongle-E not compatible with the configured one I chose? And much more importantly….
How to fix this? Looking forward to getting those two devices added to my Gladys domain!
Cheers, Barney
