New version of Gladys today with a new integration: Google Cast !
If you have Google devices compatible with the Google Cast protocol:
- Google Nest Mini
- Google Nest Audio
- Google Pixel Tablet
- … And many other devices
You can detect these devices on the local network:
Add them to Gladys, and use these speakers in the scenes to talk about them:
For now, this feature uses a paid “Text to Speech” API, which works thanks to artificial intelligence. This is what enables the smooth, pleasant-to-hear, non-robotic voice.
As a result, this feature is only available via Gladys Plus.
The day that similar quality voices exist in pure-local, I’d be very happy to add them to Gladys, but sadly it’s not the case as of today !
